 InCrease
This is what you need for folding on the Mac, whether you're a new folder or experienced. Versatile and user-friendly, the InCrease program is a graphical user interface which assists the user in installing, setting up
and viewing Stanford's CLI (Command Line Interface) folding client. It's easy to set up and use, like the Stanford GUI client, but keeps all the flexibility of the CLI client - plus InCrease makes it easy to see how your folding is going, both on your own computer and over a network.
Upon starting up InCrease you'll be given an opportunity to add your own username and team number into the preferences window. Our recommendations for user names: Don't use an email address, do use the same username for folding and for registering on our team forum and do use the same username each time when installing Folding on multiple computers (e.g. home & work computers). Our recommendation for team number: the default already entered (1971) for Team MacOS X, of course!
InCrease is the work of team member Kevin Bernhagen (calxalot) and uses
programs such as mac_qd and his own foldingctl, plus fpd to display and manipulate an image of the protein on command (bundled with InCrease since version 2.0b1).
InCrease is a work in progress and any input would be appreciated and gladly accepted. In addition to the online help page at Kevin's InCrease site, be sure to visit the Team Mac OS X forums
to give your feedback, to get help with InCrease or folding in general,
or to just to find out more about our team and its members.

Folding@Home Client
This link will take you to the official Folding@home download website,
where you can manually choose the client you wish to use (Graphical Client,
Console, or Screensaver) find helpful installation and license info,
and select your username for the Folding project.
Our recommendation for Macs is to choose InCrease above, for its ease of installation and extra features, and for Windows, choose the Folding Service Installer below. However, if you want the standard, unadorned Stanford folding client, choose either the Console (command-line) or the
Graphical (GUI) client - NOT the Screensaver.
Our recommendations for user names are the same as those listed for InCrease above.
Don't forget... when you are
installing the client you will be asked for a team number. Enter 1971
and you will be folding with the premiere Folding@home team for Mac expertise and new folder support on all platforms!

Folding@Home Old Service Installer
Folding@Home New Service Installer
Written by Noah Johnson: This new service installer installs
the single-processor Folding@Home Windows CLI client as a service on any
Windows NT/2000/2003/XP/Vista based machine. It will download the client for you automatically,
and allow you to set the configuration for Team number and username before the client begins folding.
The current version of the Folding Installer will install as many folding clients as you tell it to --
the ideal number is the number of CPU's on your machine. (But consider the SMP client if you have
a dual or quad processor machine and a broadband connection) Upgrading from an earlier installer
version? Run the old installer to remove the previous version, then use the new version to put the
new service onto your system.

Folding@Home FoldWise for Windows
Written by Noah Johnson: The FoldWise VBscript provides for Windows folders one of the most
popular features of InCrease: it stops folding when any app from a user-defined list is opened. Especially helpful
when you want to fold on a machine that routinely runs software with "bumpy" CPU demands, like games or image/video editing. To use FoldWise, you must have folding installed as a service, either with Noah's installer above or with another third party installer.
In the words of the Kenny Rogers song,
"You got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run..." Foldwise knows when to fold and when to hold up, to keep you ahead of the game.
Need more details? All info and feedback is in this thread in the Team MacOS X forums. Download it, use it, and give your feedback and suggestions in the thread.

FAHManager and the nFoldMan Group
Written by Richard McDonald (ve3nvm in our forums)
FAHManager is a simple program that controls and displays
the status of one or two Mac OS X command-line (CLI, console mode)
processes running Stanford's Folding@Home distributed computing client
for protein folding. A newer version, nFoldMan, can also monitor multiple
folding processes over a network. nFoldMan requires Mac OSX 10.3 or higher.
Richard's appStartSaver allows the CLI client (or any Mac application) to run at idle times
only, like a screen saver, but with far more control than the Stanford
screen saver folding client.

Bobo-X(SINGLE) or Bobo-X(DUAL)
Dial-up users, stand up and cheer! Here is another exclusive app from TeamMacOSX, designed just for you!
Bobo-X, created by team member F.C. Kuechmann (fkuechmann),
is a graphical monitor for the CLI version of the Folding@home MacOS X
client, especially designed for Folding@Home users with dial-up connections.
Available in both a SINGLE processor version and two DUAL processor flavors with horizontal and vertical display windows, Bobo-X features the ability to automagically
connect to the internet just as a work unit is finished, thus
uploading the unit and retrieving a new one with maximum efficiency
(without having to wait for you to dial-up on your own).
See some sample display windows to decide which version you need,
then click the text links to download the
SINGLE-red,
SINGLE-blue,
DUAL-horizontal or
DUAL-vertical
versions of Bobo. For more information,
download
the Bobo ReadMe File and
visit our Bobo forum thread for Bobo news, usage instructions and to ask questions of the
developer and regular Bobo users.

OpenGLTest
This program tests the OpenGL
(controls 3D rendering and hardware acceleration) subsystem on your
machine. If you see a spinning cube and pyramid, it works (and that
means so should the Folding@Home graphical or screensaver client, and the fpd
protein display application) Also
really good for testing new video cards, drivers and older machines .
